well i must say it really gives the feeling of anger and hate with its strong solid colours. its chaotic, yet simple and basic. and their is nothing wrong with that. seems like people here get upset if it abstract or it looks like it has filters or if its so simple that there grandma could do it.

artist used to make similar statements about impressionism (van gogh, monet, etc) calling it sketchy, unfinished peices of art.. just something to think about.

First of all, I like it. I really like the whole abstract kinda work, and I think the title of the threads fits perfectly. A whole lot of angst, hehe.

Its controversal to say the least, and I hold my own view on the subject, but lets not make it what it shouldn't be.

As for filters, and so forth, I see no problem with them unless you're trying to pull things off as painted or whatnot. Filters are very helpful in the line of digital design 'art'work. I don't think its cheating at all..

nothing pisses me off more than pure ignorance. i HATE it when people look at something and dismiss it as "crap" because it isnt "traditional"....there are artists out there who when asked about making computer art would say it's "cheating" and too easy...but sit just ONE of these fuckers down infront of a computer, and he wouldn't know his head from his ass, let alone how to make ANYTHING as remotely good as Splitsoul or any of the MANY talented artists i see here everyday.
