Hello all! Just joining the group and would like to say a great big hello. Also wanting to show you guys some of my art and wondering if you guys mind a nice harsh crit on it. I'm not very good and I hope the download isn't too big.



This one I need some help with showing off the reflections in her shirt and how the light should hit it. I want it to be a vinylyish (i know thats not a real word *grin*) type of thing but don't quite know what to do with it.



This is the original black and white sketch.



This is me attempting to color it. Ignore the heavy shading on the lower jaw. Just haven't gotten around to actually colring that yet. Too excited about posting.

I have a few more I want critted but thought I might wait and see what you guys think before I start flooding the board.

I appreciate any comments you guys can give me. Also major props to Dhabih for this forum.

Nice pics, i like the first ones colors and overall look, but the arm anatomy needs work, it looks like her arm popped out the socket..

The line art looks real nice.. nice job on the armor.

The last pic of the face looks okay, but there aren't that many muscles at the top of the nose, espically when he has a calm looking face.. and they cheeks are too pale, try to blend it more with the other colors of the face..

but you have lots of potential, i can't wait to see some more of your work..

I really like that sketch, the face especially. It's got some very distinctive features that remind me of people I've seen before. I think you're losing some of the best parts of the facial structure in your coloring though. In your coloring you seem to be working against the sketch, mainly just changing the shape of the cheeks and chin. IMO the rounder cheeks and loss of the cleft chin basically takes all the personality and charm that you had in the sketch and tosses it out the window. You've got a great sketch, work with it, not against it.
