Hey guys,
I'm not a 2D artist by nature, but I love the stuff you guys put out. I like drawing every now and then even though I'm not great at it.
Here's what I did today... I probably would have put more detail into it, but stupid me I somehow flattened the image and saved it... losing all the layers.
I wish I could make some cool clouds, are there any tutorials out there to help with that?
Also, is there any way to make brushes custom brushes? (I'm using Photoshop 5.5) I can make new brushes but I can only change the size, roundness, spacing, and the radius of the brush. Is there any way to make brushes like say... 6 small squares in a line?
Thanks! |

Nice work.
About the custom brush thing, I know that in PS 6.0, you can simply draw an image, then choose 'Define Brush' from the Edit menu, though I can't remember if this is different in PS 5.5.

There's one thing that you should learn when you start off. Don't use tutorials. Learn how to discover things by yourself. That way, your more prone to remember them and don't have to go off searching for that tutorial site. Just take one good day of looking in the sky at clouds and just draw what you see. And if you really can't figure it out.then come to us |

I just got PS6 two days ago, so I remember a little something about 5.5.
You can get custom brushes quickly by double clicking in an empty space at the bottom of the brush palette. a little menu should pop up and you can specify what you want there.
Hope I've helped. Nice image

I have 5.5 as well, and from what I've heard, it's the same as 6:
All you have to do is make a shape in your image, select it, and then click on an empty space in your brush palette.
Then you click on the arrow at the top right of the brush palette, and hit "define brush".
Have fun! |
