This started out as a pencil sketch that I worked over in gouache. Once the layers dried I glazed several layers over it with a watered down solution of egg tempra and then set it out in the sun to dry. Unfortunately the humidity outside caused my masonite to warp a little, so the scan may seem a bit funky.

Anyway, comments are welcome as always.

I like the complexity of it all, the way the green fish monster is attacking the red angel of doom... it almosts reminds me of the Burkina Faso flag

The puppy's a bit much, but you have to overlook stuff like that in this kind of painting.

tutorial..

well you'd be surprised how many people don't know how to divide a picture to 50% / 50% stripes with photoshop. :P
