It looks nice.
Is the painting monochromatic? and is it scanned in its full format? How big is the original?
Is it finished (the acrylic painting i.e.)? Did you make it with the intention to finish it in the digital realm?
I have painted alot with acrylics myself and know how frustrating it can be to paint with a full range of colors (they dry fast and the dry to a slightly different color). I like the way you have handled the subtle tones in your painting, not concerning yourself, I think, too much with getting a smooth set of gradiatons. You gave it a sketchy look, was that intended?
On the critical side, the chin seems somewhat off symmetry and the root of the nose gives the impression of being too heavy, maybe it is supposed to be like that though.
Would very much like to see you make another acrylic portrait of this kind, but in color. I guess you could play around with this one in photoshop, adding some hues here and there too?
