Uhm yeah, heh here is the first one, made on a very late late night. I decided I needed to practice my pencil skills a bit, since I'm really bad at lineart..This one is quite inspired by the 5th element. There is definately something wrong with the guy, I dunno what though. He is supposed to be leaning against a wall.
here is a link to colored version: http://binke.gamesquad.net/temp/taxicolor.jpg
Also here is a colored sketch, that I drew out of boredom when I was having mathematics in school today.
Comments welcome

first thing that hit me in the hair when I looked at the guy, was his right arm. It looks realllly long
I really like the second one a lot. Any way I can talk you into posting the sketch?
MATH IS EVIL. WE SHOULD BAND TOGETHER AND DESTROY IT AS JESUS WOULD HAVE.
great work binke. I'm gonna save the 2nd one in my porn directory. |

Love the second image with the colour and the like although I'm not 100% sure what it is. As for the guy leaning up against the wall, it doesn't look like this and I can't quite put my finger on why. First up I'd suggest getting a photo of someone leaning up against a wall (I'm also going to do that so I can see what is bothering me about this image).
I think part of the reason is that the guy looks like he is walking. The whole spine is curved forwards which probably wouldn't happen if you where leaning up against a wall. While I recognise that he is trying to light a smoke or something, only his head would be tilted forward and not the whole upper body. The characters left foot is also planted flat on the ground which just looks painful. Since the wall is supporting him, you could have the foot on a bit of an angle so the whole sole isn't on the ground. Maybe if you quickly drew in a brick wall and a shadow of the character, this might also help.
Math is not bad.

Nori, try and not consume as much crack as you are, it's affecting your brain and such, because if we destroy mathematics, then that means we should destroy the universe, because the universe is only composed of pure math. Unless you can proove the contrary, then I will admit I am wrong. |

binke these are great man, the guy kinda reminds me of Joachims style.
Maybe on the guys fingers tho, kinda look ike they are bending the wrong
way, which is making it look a bit rubber hand..also maybe the taxi sign
would have a dif perspective on it.. classy liscense plate by the way
keep em coming yo!

I really like the second image! Very cool colors and mood. I especially like the lighting. Simple and effective.

Looks good Binke.
When I color scanned scetches I often change the opacity of the scetch layer after awhile, so I can put the contrast were I want it. Right now your image looks alittle "dirty".
Just a small tip. =)

snake, why don't you prove the universe is all math? Also, I'd like some tips on how to destroy math because i'm just at a complete loss at how you'd think we'd go about doing it.

thanks for the replies.
nori: ARf! Arm long! yes! Post sketch? no! '
Math sucks, YES! thanks!
Actually the original sketch was about 3x4cm big, drawn with a blue ballpoint pen, very sketchy.. not much to look at heh, I resized it a bit, thus its a bit blurry..
Matt: Yes thanks, I see what you mean, actually I did add a shadow on the colored one, but then I removed it cuz it looked..odd.
Cos: ARGh the hands, the hands!! oh the world! They looked ok on the first sketch (this is a re-trace) hrmz.. I need better more transparent papers or a lighttable(or whatever its called). Taxi sign..hm yes, you are right thanks.
g:tech: Thank you!
Simon: Thanks for the tip I'll keep that in mind.
