Rightyooo... Dakkan and I have decided we are going to travel Europe Early next year.

We are interested in anyone who wants to meet up while we are over there.. Any suggestions on places and things to see are welcome.

We are also welcoming anyone who wants to come with us. We are not sure where and how long for but we are only going to europe.

As I live in Australia anyone who is interested in this can contact me or dakkan via email or icq..

I am also working on a webpage for this and I will be adding maps and info ont he places we decide to go. As well as the costs and so on hopefully.

There are many of you whom we wish to see on our way and also would like to join out little rampage.

As I know little of europe your input is welcome. Also I will add a list of people who are coming on the trip with us.

Check back here for updates :d

Take Care

thought i'd put a little input... well, basically, right now, we're thinking of finding people who are interested in going on this holiday. and second, we need to find places to go.. we want the trip to be in different countries in europe, over the period of about 3 weeks.

well, after a discussion with jenn, we made a plan for these countries, in this order.

Italy, Holland (amsterdam), France, and finally, Spain.

And you decided to leave out Germany ! Have you no interest in beer ?
Well if I were to make a trip from faraway to Europe I guess I would also like to see one of the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Finland & Norway), I like these a lot. Stockholm is probably the most beautiful larger city I've ever been to.
Visiting France I would definitely go see some of the lower parts at the Cote d'Azur. I've been there last summer and the landscape is really beautiful. So I would recommend going somewhere near Cannes there maybe.
In Italy, I would go see Venice and one of the beautiful lakes in the northern parts of Italy, like the Lago di Como (spelling ?).

Oh yeah and if you don't mind doing some sort of sport I would climb one of the great mountains in Switzerland or Austria.

As you see there's really a lot to see in Europe

all the best,

Paris
You can't miss Paris.
I went there two years ago and I'm in love with that city.

Oh, if you come to Spain there are a lot of things to see: the north with a lot of green and mountains, the south with beautiful beaches, really good food, etc...

Yeah come to germany. We could maybe spray a wall together. Something like America-Germany REUNITE!

Hey Bugscratch, let's travel to America sometime. What ya think? After I made my ABI

Hey, Scratch... I need one more year to go. And after that time my brother should be pilot. That means that I get 90% off of the normal price for EVERY flight. My whole family will then pay only 10% of the normal price. I'm sure I can declare you as my brother So let's forgett the cost and go there where most artists live.
We could visit spooge or faust *G*

ditch the idea.

there's nothing to do here.

and something tells me i'm not enough to keep you interested.

affected's the only person, along with my co-workers, that can stand my assholeness for extended period these days. and co-workers don't count since they don't have a choice.

Hey S4Sb, I once met a guy like your brother who worked for an airline.... I met him near Cannes, France and he was an American. He said he had paid $40 for the flight there and back again. Considering that I had just paid $700 for pretty much the same distance just a few weeks ago I was startled. Man that sucked

Just noticed that you're actually El Caseron.... I rarely read signatures

In case we can get flights so cheap I'd say we don't go where most artists live but somewhere that INSPIRES you as an artist. Like Tibet. Or Japan. Or Cuba. Or Chile. Or some other far, FAR away place.

Oh yeah and I'd change my nick too but since I already got 170+ posts on this one I won't, especially since anything I would come up with as a new nick would suck just as much as this one.

hey faust, well, count me on that list of people who can stand u, hehe... others may call u asshole, but i say u'r more or a no bullshit kinda guy. and bugscratch... this isn't really one of those holidays to "inspire" us as artists, hehe. more like a "get to see some countries and go out and have fun" kinda holiday (beer+alcohol will help the fun, )
by all means, i'm taking my scetchbook (usually take one when i travel anyway), but it's just about trying to have a good time i guess. btw, to keeps costs low, we'll be travelling by coach, but if u have other ways of travelling, do what u want... we're not not organizing a tourism thingy, we're just going on holiday and asking if any of u people wanna join us.

oh yea, as for the countries... it's basically those four countries. but then again, there's a whole fucking year left before new years, hehe, so a country or two might change (unlikely though), but if u got any suggestions, make sure it's not too far from the route we'll be going. for example, maybe germany instead of france or something (just an example... although, i wouldn't mind that change. hmm.. gotta talk to jenn)

Dakkan, the inspiration thing was mostly directed at a possible holiday me & S4Sb, which wouldn't take place until mid of next year anyways.

Oh and I don't think you would regret coming to Germany. After all, we got beer.
And I guess there's lots of cultural things here to see that I just don't realize because I'm just so used to German culture. But it's all up to you, there's lots to see in France as well, so it's just a matter of personal taste.

Hey Caseron when are you going to finish your ABI ? I'll be done with school this summer !
I don't know what I'll do yet, the original plan was to go to China with the Transsiberian Railroad (For those that don't know it's a track that runs from Moscow to Wladiwostok to Peking IIRC so it's a pretty long trip. And it's cheaper to bribe the ticket controller than to buy a ticket. But then again a ticket to Peking from Moscow is only $100.), but we delayed that plan for a year so that another friend of ours who'll still be stuck in school for a year can join up.
Now we might go to Indonesia but we don't really know yet. We could sleep at my friend's father's friend's house so we would just have to pay for the flight.
But the USA sounds good too Been there last summer and I'd like to go there again. Don't know where. Anywhere but to MS / FL since I've been there and would like to see some more of the US.

Oh yeah about drinking by the way. We slept at my sister's boyfriend's home in the US and we brought him 12 cans of Schoefferhofer beer (-> 6 liters) the guys there yanked out their Weizenbier (wheat beer) glasses (also imported from Germany) and drank and they liked it a whole freaking lot. One of the guys there was a real beer junkee, I don't think I ever saw him drink anything else. I drank some US beer (Coors, Bud, Kilians) but you can't compare those beers to what we call beer. Well Kilians maybe but I still prefer German beer.

If you drink our beer at the speed that I saw Americans drink American beer, then you won't be able to leave.

I had 250+ posts, but I killed that nick anyways. It sucked.

Oh and if you look for places that inspire you. I guess spooges office inspires one more than any other place in the world. Perhaps we learn a thing or two
Well, I guess he's to busy anyway, so we skip that idea.
Australia sounds good to me. Great landscapes. And there are probably some artists there we could visit.

Can't think of any tho...
