got a problem with the fact that i like girl band pop music that is musically and content wise way above most of the stuff out there these days and the fact that it's nice to listen to and i'm not cool like you and can say that i like nice female voices?

Radiohead, Bjork, Moby + Tori Amos... are on my playlist lately.

Moby is a new favorite, but the others I have loved for years and years. Music helps keep me still and focused. Without music, I don't think I would be ok. My life would be grey without that audio beat that pounds inside my head...

what? queen is not bad.

I dont listen to it any more
but they had some good songs-
its not coincidence that many singers name freddy mercury as an important influence.

well, kill me but I even like some girl- or boybandstuff.

I'm to young to know qeeun soo i must admit I shouldn't of really said anyhting there

But I didn't say i didn't like boy or girl bands...

let me just explain something

Coming from England...creating people like Spice Girls , Steps , and B*witched
I'm just wary if they can song properly or not..
Spice girls, have never song live neither have Steps nor B*Witched ,
whenever they have been asked to they somehow some way they seem to weave out of it..
oviously they can't sing, leaving it to the studio to do there work....

Enrique Iglesias is a fake. I hate him and I can't understand why so many american people like his monotonous music.
If you didn't know, he has a set of music technicians with modulators changing his voice constantly to match the notes because he doesn't know how to sing. And all his concerts are playback.

I'm beginning to think the music I listen to affects my style of painting. I like the stuff I was doing almost a year ago... must subtle in value, more delicate in a way, and I use to listen to more ambiant/techno... now I'm back to listening to heavy industrial and metal... and I'm not too happy with my recent stuff... hmm. Dunno.

I listen to stuff ranging from Bjork to Megadeth, The Orb, Nine Inch Nails, Orbital, KMFDM/MDFMK, Front Line Assembly, Sonic Mayhem, Future Sound of London, Voivod, and demo scene music on Nectarine audio stream (http://212.11.11.175:8002).

that's funny, during the height of their popularity over here in the states, i caught them doing inpromptu acapella versions of one or two of their songs on live radio and tv broadcasts.

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I prefer melancholy songs (Helen Reddy-You and me against the world) other times I prefer hard-driving, upbeat music (Bon Jovi-It's my life). I can't stand alternative, rap or grunge.

Here's a list of what turns me on musically, I love the rolling melodies that seem to go on forever complimenting the computer generated harmonies in exquisite taste, here we go:

Five Star
Chesney Hawkes
Debbie Gibson
Christina Aguilera(sp)
New Kids on the Block (except "Hang Tough")
Tiffany (such truth in her lyrics)
Chad Jackson
Pepsi & Shirley
Black Lace

Spit & Fausty if you want a tape made, can do. It'll open your eyes to the joys of REAL music.

(reads faust's playlist) ...

Haha, I have the entire Cowboy Beebop sountrack as well. (gasp) You like Mr. Bungle? Wow, sometimes I feel like I am one of their only fans. At least I know it for a fact that I am around here. (grumble) Heard and love most of these bands, am going to check out the ones I haven't now. =)

Don't mind me asking, but have you heard anything of Mudvayne? They're fucking awesome so I was just wondering. =)
