If you have access to any 3d software, it is easy to set up a simple block model to help visualize your perspective. You can use a printed rendering as an underlay for your drawing. |

Inspector, you're right about multiple vanishing points, although it doesn't seem right that you would be looking flat accross the roof of that (100 ft tall?) building from ground level. |

Try "Sculpy", available in most art supply stores, it holds a good amount of detail and hardens in your home oven. |

I stumbled upon this while looking for satelite photos. Kite photography shows aerial views, but with much more detail and color than a satelite.
