Wow! Looking really good so far. There's one major distraction though; the boots and gloves. They just dont belong and take away from my ability to get into this.

You're doing good. Lower that right arm a bit. It looks like he's got it locked up near his body too much. Them bulk up those legs and bend thrm some more. The left knee should be pointing more toward ... |

Wow, much better the second time! As for the first one, it's akward looking. For example, there seems to be some texturing on the left side of the wall, yet nowhere else. Also, the skyline is too simp ... |

As for the lighting, I did choose the light source, but by your comments, I guess I did'nt do it well.

Your sketching implies that you were going for a loose sketch, yet the pose is still very stiff. Like Andy said, try a different approach. Loose, but clean at the same time. In the end, you'll find it ... |
