the style resembles caricature, but the shading achieves the quality of realism of oil paints. Nice work.
His right eye could be defined more, and the shading could be darker as the cheek approaches ... |

ah, i see you explain it as a "time-saving" technique. I don't necessarily agree, since one certainly can't trace when drawing from life...
but your work is amazing nonetheless, so I shall shut up no ... |

Edea was rendered realistically in the game. You need much more shading and many more tones of gray to achieve the same effect. |

Don't use medium as an excuse. Anyone talented or even mildly adept in shading can shade with a regular 2b pencil, mechanical or whatever.
I'd only suggest getting an 8b pencil for the darkest areas ... |
