oops, one thing i forgot to mention about levinthal..as i said, he used a very large polaroid camera, so most of his prints were 24x20" So seeing these things at that scale, have a stronger effect.

I understand what blackfish is saying, but in most cases you don't have the time needed to draw(paint) hundreds of textures.
And yes, you can use 512x512 textures, I use them everyday.

I can see the issues with the lighting, but I think the use of your "sculptural" lighting works very well with this. Sometimes "artistic license" makes for a more interesting pictu ...
