maybe you could just take a candle, light it and examine how it looks like? then you can exagerate or stylize it however you want.

more academic or more impressionistic - cool thing is, they are all using the same classic tools (tools in the sense of "no rules, just tools" of mr. Glen Vilppu images/smiles/icon_smile.gif )

there is always only one horizon line in a painting (the eyelevel).
but as you've noticed, spooge uses 4 vanishing points, 2 for each cube. don't forget that his cubes are NON parallel ...
