I personally like music when I'm working although one thing I've noticed is music with vocals tends to distract me a bit, so I usually don't put anything with singing on whilst I work. |

I like it but I think the primary issue is the light doesn't really make sense as it is so inconsistent.
Compare the foreground guy with the buildings in the centre of the picture. Another example ... |

I had been hoping for this feature as its the way mudbox brushes work. Shame you cant alter the shortcut though as the default is not very pleasant to use! |

Did you get those values from tftreview? I tried those out and their contrast and brightness settings and it does feel a lot nicer now. |
