A couple patches ago, Valve messed with the hit boxes on CS. The result being able to get a head shot with actually hitting the head.

its a statement. left side of the "scale" are eyes, outside. Right side, the heavier side, are hearts, inside. In other words, its whats on the inside that counts in a crude way.
