Hash's Animation master is a nifty program and cheap too but I find myself struggling with spline modeling too much. My brain just doesn't function like that or something.

Looks good... I'd say you just need to squish the face horizontally (thin it out). Maybe darken the eyes, but that would come in later when you add in the cracked skin texture and other details. Looks ... |
