Kids like making marks in the snow, so maybe that should be in it for that reason. It'll make the picture a bit more busy/playfull as well.

Try buying second-hand clothes, they cost a lot less.
Go for dark colours or black. Buy some t-shirt, longsleves and sweaters with zippers and possibly a hood.

the hair isn't purple over at the cupboard's handle and the far left, same thing where it goes over your shoulder. And yeah, the ear is very purple... But still, It's nicely done.
