Very nice style indeed. Some of the (eg Cinema) gould benefit from a little more definition in key areas - all looked rather soft focus.

Good study, but as pointed out the perspective is not right - the shoe gets too fat at the toe end. I also feel that the nearside of the shoe is a little too uniformly grey.

The two books by ILM (The Art Of Special Effects, and Into The Digital Realm) both have some good info on matte painting; but they aren't cheep! About �60 each in the UK.
